Kart is working right now we are cleaning & organizing the work area so we can finish faster & more safer My partner is welding strips of metal to hold the batteries a home made mounting system the box looks great 

Monday 1/12/15

Welding the mount that supports the pot- box peter is cutting out slips of metal sheets for the karts Throttle control , jack is putting on the chain that's going to drive the kart it's almost complete here is  a couple nice pictures from Monday & through out the week alot of cutting & welding getting done for these karts we are way behind scheduled   

FRIDAY 1/8/15

This week we really dug into the karts we got the Throttle cable on the gold & purple kart and mounted a (pot) box onto the kart pot sands for Potential-meter  & that controls how fast the car goes pretty much like a gas petal Peter is cutting strips of metal out to secure the brake lines on the go kart ... Jaret welded stuff for the pot box and petal the kart is almost done 

On This solar car Kirsten's team is collaborating to find a place to put the batteries in SK2  the are having a hard time mounting 6 batteries in a place that balances out the kart it's officially a difficult task because weight  distribution is a big factor in karts

1/6/15

This week we are getting the solar car completely done whe are way over due Matt  assined  jobs for each of us to take care of we are all in groups or teams of 4 & 2 we have to download an operating system into the computers & also finish the kart  on sk3 we have to install a tow hintch so that should be fun lets see what this short week has to offer

my teammate here is  welding the practice strips for the kart so he can get it right on the kart the first time around if you do it the right way the first time you do not  have to go back & redo anything over again 

Monday 9th

We are cutting old bird cage left overs to weld them when jrets  dad comes and fixes the welding Machine the problem is it's not spuwing any steal so he needs to take a look at it 

The middle process

This week we are finishing up cleaning the metal. Also we are finishing working on the soundproof box Matt has been working on, for the vacuum of the laser cutter. Also everyone is finishing up their power points for the midterms

Monday December 1st

Today we went over what we need to do this week 

Today we have to fix the welder because something is stuck in there so it won't Weld anything and we honestly have no idea why so we have to  take it apart & see what's up with it we also need to fix the compresser it's not blowing at all some other teammates are working on the power points it's a big grade & very important
