 we where SPLIT into two teams & we are both working on separate cars decision on battery replacement we need to find a way to modify where the right place on housing the battery's we where thinking moving the seat forward & the battery's behind the seat ... Weight distribution will be center it will also roll a lot better not putting in the fact that there is  no suspension so looks like next weeks task is to remount suspension

Friday

WE WON .........TODAY we where raced to see who could build the metal shelves not the fastest but the correct way see each shelf was 12.5 inches away from each other & no other  team knew that so it gave us a advantage  & we figured that out after a couple times  it was hard at first but we worked together to win we where put agents  other teams

flipping tires on this nice Friday

today's meeting was on tires..... How many idiots does it take to change 2 tubeless tires ... Wait why are tubes even in tubeless tires  weeks latter....Matt still has not brought back the tires  and we are still waiting on them jack finished the car he was working on its complete now & now we are waiting on the tires with the rim

Monday meet up

today & for the rest of the week Peters drilling holes so we can bolt the motor controller on the frame the motor controller controls how much power goes into the motor & it controls the amount of power leaving & entering its like a big fuse ...Limiting the amount of energy it needs at a certain time for the rest of the week we are working on the other go kart its the same solar car but a home made go kart was are also building it from scratch we are also going to practice welding & sanding down with a electrical sander this week should be fun

Motor work today teaching everyone how to sadder motors for vex so that they have an idea of how to sadder everyone was hands on in this activity it was a fun day

Complete now hes taking off everything & cleaning up the whole brake pad brake disk & making sure it runs & spins smoothly this solar race car is the best one we have here at south plantation ....it has won races & been all over the U.S & will continue to win as long as we take care of it & maintain everything that needs to be looked over

Dirty work pays off today we are cleaning the brake disk the brake pads & readjusting the rotor & brake lines Matt mixed up a cocktail of juices to spray on the pads i have no clue what it is but it gets the job done each & every par looked brand new

Ones cleaning ....ones scrubbing & ones blogging these are the brake pads we are cleaning on the race solar car this car is faster then the rest & more advance

Monday meeting goal is to fix the brakes we searched new lines & brake pads we are all talking about it hopefully we can get them in the mail quickly

Friday: Bleeding the brakes on this fine Friday ...for this week we are taking it slow & seeing what we need to get done with the other cars a lot of stuff is compatible with the other cars because there home made i should say we will see how this week turns out

Soldering motors today

my teammate is working hands on today teaching everyone how to solder the right & safe way we used vix & what that does is help the solder bond to the metal terminals 

Friday 👍👍 this week has been good got a lot done & we put the top back on the solar car Mondays plan is to start on both cars

First week

This week was awesome ! We dug deep and learned about the solar car and all that it does it's my first year here in this program after doing AutoCAD & I love it so much more we learned about races The crew going to Texas and competing and a handful of other things I hope to build the car by the end of this year
